Ceremony for the Fourth Anniversary of the CEEEP

    On September 28th was the Ceremony for the Fourth Anniversary of the CEEEP. This event was presided by Major General David Ojeda Parra (Chief of the General Staff of the Army), representing Army General Walter Córdoba Alemán (General Commander of the Army), who was accompanied by Brigadier General Carlos Rabanal Calderón (Deputy Chief of General Staff of the Army), among other distinguished guests.

    On September 28th was the Ceremony for the Fourth Anniversary of the CEEEP.     The current general role of the CEEEP is to “perform strategic analysis and investigations related to Security, Defense and Military Proficiency that will help the institutional strategic management and decision-making process of the General Commander of the Army and his Major State General, encouraging strategic thinking and the exchange of ideas with different stakeholders of society and the national and international academic community.”

    To do so, the CEEEP carries out analysis and investigations in issues related to Security and Defense, including those Key Strategic Topics identified by the Army that bring about innovative solutions and ideas to complex problems faced by the Army, Defense Sector, country and region. Furthermore, the CEEEP encourages relationships and exchange of ideas with different stakeholders of academia and civil society by developing academic activities that bring reflection and debate on topics related to Security and Defense. Additionally, the CEEEP promotes knowledge management and strategic thinking development amongst institution members, helping to further generate solutions to challenges that hinder the development of the Army.
