On December 7, 2022, the Peruvian Army Center for Strategic Studies (CEEEP) signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Mutual Cooperation with the prestigious Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies (RUSI), of the United Kingdom, which will allow, among others: to exchange materials and academic information; collaborate on joint research projects and publications in areas of mutual interest defined by both institutions; translate and help disseminate the other party’s products, including posting the other party’s links or material on its website; participate in activities that enhance mutual understanding and collaboration, including conducting workshops and webinars, conferences, meetings and other activities organized by both institutions; and to consider co-sponsorship of international academic events.
This agreement was signed by Colonel Paul Eduardo Vera Delzo, Director of the CEEEP, and Doctor Karin von Hippel, Director-General of RUSI.
Furthermore, this transcendental event had as attendants Brigadier General Carlos Rabanal Calderon (Deputy Chief of Staff of the Peruvian Army), Mister Gavin Cook (British Ambassador to Peru), Colonel George Maund (Defence Attaché of the United Kingdom in Colombia, concurrent in Peru), Mister Keith Ditcham (Senior Research Fellow of the RUSI), and Doctor Carlos Solar (Senior Research Fellow of the RUSI), among other distinguished guests.
