Colonel of the Brazilian Army, with a Lato Sensu postgraduate degree in Military Sciences from the Command and General Staff School of the Brazilian Army. He has specialized in Jungle Operations by the Jungle War Training Center and has completed the Advanced Course in Psychological Operations. He served as Commander of the 51st Jungle Infantry Battalion. He has completed a master’s degree in Development and National Defense at the Center for Higher National Studies – Graduate School.
