Colonel of the Brazilian Army, Master in Military Sciences from the Nanjing Army Command School of the People’s Republic of China and Master in Military Operations from the Brazilian Army Officer Training School. He served as Commander of the 22nd Self-Propelled Artillery Group -Uruguaiana Group (on the border between Brazil and Argentina), as well as professor at the Military Academy of Agulhas Negras and the Officers’ Training School, both of the Brazilian Army. He has published the article “Main military and humanitarian operations unleashed in Support to the Civil Defense of the State of Santa Catarina, between 2008 and 2012, in the Itajaí-Açu river valley: lessons learned for future interagency operations”. He has completed a Master’s Degree in Defenseand National Development at the Centro de Altos Estudios Nacionales -Escuela de Postgrado.
