Colonel José Pardo de Santayana y Gómez de Olea is a research coordinator and principal analyst at the Spanish Institute for Strategic Studies. He is a graduate of the General Staff. He has a master’s degree in International Relations from the Ortega y Gasset Foundation. Furthermore, he has a diploma in Higher International Studies from the Society for International Studies. He has worked at the Spanish embassy in Havana as a military attaché (2013-2016). Likewise, he has been a professor of Strategy and Military History at the General Staff (1996-98) and Army War (2001-2006) schools.
