Karina Furtado holds a PhD in Administration (with emphasis on Institutions, Politics and Government) from the Fundação Getúlio Varrigues, (FGV) Brazil and is a professor in the Graduate Program in Military Sciences at the Meira Mattos Institute, located at the Brazilian Army Command and General Staff College. Currently, she is coordinator of the Laboratory of Governance, Management and Public Policies in National Defense, guest lecturer at the Professional Master’s Program in Public Administration at the Brazilian School of Public and Business Administration of the FGV, and a fellow of the Young Scientists Program of our state (2021-2025) of the Research Foundation of the State of Rio de Janeiro. Her topics of interest are: public policies, public governance, national defense, civil-military relations, public transparency, management of state secrets, pubic integrity, defense and cyber security.
