Eva Sáenz-Diez Jaccarini
Dr. Eva Saenz-Diez is a researcher on the Arab world at the Group for Studies and Research on the Contemporary Arab World at the University of Louvain and at the Workshop on International Mediterranean Studies at the Autonomous University of Madrid. She is the author of numerous academic articles and appears in the media, addressing issues on France, Spain, the United States, Egypt, Switzerland and Canada. She also holds a PhD co-directed by the Autonomous University of Madrid and the University of Paris on Egypt’s Scientific Policy from 1952 to the Information Technology Revolution. She is also the author of Égypte d’une Révolution à l’autre. Politiques d’enseignements et changements sociaux (Publisud, Paris, March 2013) and Les populations chrétiennes non-autochtones en Égypte. The Particular Case of Ottoman Catholics 1750-1960 (L’Harmattan, Paris, January 2023). He has collaborated in universities and research centers in countries such as France, Spain, Belgium, Egypt, Italy, Tunisia, India, Indonesia, Denmark, Guatemala, Hungary and the United States. One of his current research topics is The Invisible Diaspora: Exodus of Egypt’s Economic and Intellectual Elites in the Second Half of the 20th Century, which is largely based on Latin America.
